Mr. Vázquez is a Certified Public Accountant with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with concentration in Accounting from the University of Puerto Rico Río Piedras Campus. He is a Director of HLB Puerto Rico LLC in the Assurance and Advisory Practice with more than 23 years of public accounting experience serving large, complex clients across a broad range of industries. Worked with large companies in Puerto Rico in several capacities, such as: financial statements audits, compliance audits, Sarbanes-Oxley Act Section 404, and internal audit assessments. Industry exposure includes domestic companies under US GAAP basis of accounting, GAAS, and statutory-basis of accounting for insurance companies.

Mr. Vázquez also served 13 years in the Assurance practice of Ernst & Young Puerto Rico serving as a Senior Manager for large, complex clients across a broad range of industries. Responsible for managing and performing audit procedures focusing on complex, judgmental and/or specialized issues.

Clients served include the following: Hewlett-Packard, MAPFRE, Molina Healthcare, GFR Media, USIC Group, Coca-Cola Company, Becton Dickinson, McDonald’s Corporation, Caribe Hilton Hotel, Marriott Hotel, PRASA, PREPA, PRHTA, among others.
